Night Is A Place

Night Is A Place

As dusk falls and day turns to evening, the world changes. Spaces change.  What was by day an intimate  courtyard becomes a den of shadows, a sweeping vista disappears and is enveloped by mystery, forest become truly wild.

At the same time, come nightfall the cosy glow of a warm house, or a lighted promenade are welcoming and inviting. So what does night mean to us? What is our relationship with night as a place?

Through a series of landscape, tableaux and constructed street scenes, Daniel A’Vard explores this place that we all experience, but hardly know.
